Last year, I wrote a letter to the headmaster of my old upper school, because of the crappy way they treated me. He replied saying
Dear Georgina,
I am in receipt of your letter of 2nd May. You have clearly been left with feelings of being let down at school and, obviously I am sorry and concerned to hear this. Anyway, I have passed on your letter to Mrs Blank and asked her to comment on the points you make. When I have received her reply, I will contact you again.
Yours sincerely,
J B Blank
Headteacher
Craptown Upper School"
It's now January, and I still haven't had the reply from him! And yesterday I was in a bad mood and feeling bitter, so I wrote another email saying
Dear Mr. Blank,
In May last year, I wrote you a letter regarding the appalling treatment I received from your school and the staff at it. You said that after passing my comments onto Mrs. Blank that you would email me again. Eight months later and I have still received no hint of further correspondence from you. This only adds to the disgust felt toward you, your staff, and the school that you supposedly ‘run’. Thanks to the fact that your staff prevented me from taking my GCSEs, I will now be studying to gain a minimal amount of GCSEs for at least another two years.
Considering the fact that most prospective students would be persuaded to join your school as opposed to another through recommendation from past students, I am surprised that you do not regard the bad treatment of your pupils, past and present, as a matter that needs to be dealt with as quickly and effectively as possible. Of course, perhaps I am wrong in assuming this and the correct way to run schools in the future is to enrol as few students as possible, and to treat them with as much disregard as you have treated me.
After wasting years attending your school and submitting work which now means nothing, not even grovelling would make me change my opinion of you and your school. However, I think having the decency to reply to my emails and address issues I have previously mentioned is the very least you could do.
Yours Sincerely
Georgina Blank
