We have people coming round for a BBQ later. Which should be nice, although I'm sure Ant and his friends will bugger off and I'll be the only person under 29 there. Excluding Daniel, who's three, and so doesn't provide particularly good conversation.

And, also, we went dog shopping today. We have a dog on 'reserve'. He was brought in by the warden, so not much is known about him, and he has to be in the kennels for at least 8 days before he can be rehomed. The 8 days are up the first part of next week, so there is a chance he'll be claimed, but they don't think it's likely. Then we'll have a home check, and if all goes well we'll have a new doggy! He's pretty small-a terrier cross, mainly white with bits of black. He's only about 8 months old, called Benny (but that'll probably be changed), and he's really friendly & playful. Dad didn't seem all that keen on getting a new dog so soon after Henry, but he did like him, which is a plus. So once again, we shall see!
